Hello Mojang & Microsoft team,
I am a long-time Minecraft player from Chinese mainland.
We are deeply worried about the upcoming rule changes on Minecraft China Edition (operated by NetEase).
1. After Nov 8, no new mods can be set for Emerald (in-game free token).
2. High-quality large-scale mods are forced to be priced with paid Diamonds. Even if creators want to release their mods for FREE, the review system rejects their submission.
3. Big mods have a minimum price lock of 600 Diamonds after discount.
Minecraft is a game about creation. This new policy breaks the free mod ecosystem for Chinese players and creators.
We hope Mojang can negotiate with NetEase, to keep creators the freedom to release high-quality mods for free, and preserve the creative spirit of Minecraft.
Attached are screenshots of official announcement and rejected mod review page.
Thank you.
