Due to the upcoming winter drop, what better creature than the symbol of the Christmas season itself? The caribou is a horse-sized mob that would spawn in snowy plains, snowy taigas, and very rarely in regular taigas, maybe a 2% chance there. They would drop leather if killed. They can be tamed with carrots, but you’d have to crouch and lure them over like cats, and once tamed you could saddle them and ride them. They’d all have a set speed of 12mps, but they would gradually gain speed up to 20mps when riding over any snow or ice block, making them useful for crossing large snowy areas quickly. They’d have a varying amount of hp, minimum 8 hearts and a max of 14. In addition, they would be able to jump like horses, however unlike them, they’d only be able to jump 3 blocks high, but they would fall a little bit slower, allowing them to cross really far gaps. You could also put a carpet on their back to turn their saddle festive, giving them bells on the reins and the like. Overall, perfect for a winter drop and exploring the snow!
