Eating cake should remove negative effects

Cake is crafted with three whole buckets of cake. Milk removes all effects, but cake doesn't remove any. My suggestion is that eating cake should remove negative status effects such as weakness, blindness, mining fatigue and more, but keep positive effects. This gives cake a unique use. Let's be honest, cake is not currently a very good food.
