Hi! I’ve been playing Minecraft for about 15 years now, and I’ve always loved the cave updates. The new ones are amazing, but I’d really love to see a cave biome inspired by the real‑life Naica crystal caves in Mexico like the ones with the massive white crystals.
I think Minecraft could do something really cool with that idea. Like imagine a super rare underground biome with huge white quartz or selenite‑style crystals growing everywhere, with giant pillars you can climb around or mine for special blocks. I think it would feel totally different from the amethyst geodes just in a way brighter, bigger, and way more dramatic.
Some ideas (not too crazy I hope!):
-
Giant white crystal pillars that generate naturally
-
A new crystal block type that glows softly, kind of like the new ice crystal block
-
Crystal clusters that grow over time like amethyst
-
Maybe a heat mechanic since the real caves are super hot
-
A peaceful glowing mob that lives in the crystals (might be a little crazy, but it would be cool!)
-
New decorative blocks for builders (I love crystals and want more colors!)
I think it would be a beautiful and unique biome/cave that adds something fresh underground. I know you just did the new ice cave update, which I think is very beautiful, but I think another update around a crystal cave would be really fun and exciting to play around with.
Thanks for reading just wanted to share what i think is a cool idea coming from a long‑time player who loves exploring and building underground!
