Minecraft should add rare Nether Oasis villages, introducing a peaceful Piglin civilization to the dangerous Nether
Appearance and Generation
These villages could generate in the Nether Wastes and Basalt Deltas, featuring polished blackstone, basalt, tuff, fortified gates, raised bridges, soul lanterns, and terraced Nether wart farms and fungus gardens
Oasis Piglins
Unlike ordinary Piglins, Oasis Piglins would be peaceful unless attacked. They could have farmer, trader, and scholar professions, offering unique trades for useful Nether resources and rare items
The Basalt Golem
Each village could have a guardian made of basalt and tuff, with glowing blue eyes. It would defend the settlement against hostile Nether mobs
Raids and Hero of the Oasis
Villages could occasionally face raids from hostile Piglins and Piglin Brutes. Players who successfully defend them would receive the Hero of the Oasis effect, improving trade offers and unlocking a secret treasure stash revealed by the village's elder or leader. Rare rewards could include valuable Nether resources and, at the highest tier, two or three Netherite Ingots, limited to one major reward per village for balance
Why Add This?
The Nether has dangerous structures, but no peaceful civilization. Oasis villages would offer exploration, trading, and a rare place to regroup without removing the Nether's danger. Defending them would give players another reason to explore, protect their inhabitants, earn their trust, and discover unique rewards
