Currently, playing Minecraft with friends requires paying for Realms, setting up third-party servers, or messing with complex network routing. This creates a massive barrier for casual players who just want to share a world with close friends for free.
I propose adding a native "Direct Multiplayer" toggle right inside the "Create New World" screen.
How it would work:
1. The Toggle: When creating a world, you turn on "Direct Multiplayer."
2. Friend Dashboard: A simple menu opens where you type in your friends' Minecraft/Microsoft usernames.
3. Auto-Server List: Once added, this world automatically shows up at the top of your friends' Multiplayer menu. They can easily click to join 24/7 without needing manual invite codes or IP addresses.
4. Crossplay Toggle: Right next to it, add a toggle for "Enable Java & Bedrock Crossplay" so friends on different platforms can seamlessly join the same world without needing external mods or plugins.
