Although Minecraft has a plethora of wild animals in the game, it is missing a core element found in our own ecosystem, predators. The game already has polar bears, and wild wolves hunt sheep, but thats as far as it goes. I think the game could easily be expanded upon by adding more regional hunters like lions (savana), tigers (jungle), bears (taiga), sharks (oceans) and crocodiles (swamp). I am aware that the incentive to kill real life creatures is a no go for the team, and so I think the mobs should be a neutral mob like iron golems or simply exactly like how polar bears currently operate. Theres no reason to add any unique drop from them, but adding them alone will give a sense of depth the already existing wildlife that Minecraft has to offer. Another part to the update could be to add a version of pilagers that try and attack the predators, where you could help defend it and gain trust from the preditor.
