Pirates could barter like piglins but instead with pyrite and gold. Bartering pyrite with a pirate while a pirate captain is within 20 blocks would result in a pillager-type raid where pirate parrots attack you & nitwit pirates shoot cannons (like crossbows but deal more damage and don’t go as far) and stab with platinum swords that can be dropped. The platinum sword only has 1 durability so it smelted into a platinum nugget and crafted into a pyrite ingot. Ingots can be crafted into a block of pyrite that can be either used to craft into a pirate sword (which is is better than a diamond sword) or be brewed into a pirate potion that can turn you into a pirate. The pirate potion can be brewed into a splash potion and if brewed with a gun powder and a redstone, it will make a super splash that turns any nearby pirates and captains into villagers that can trade you a golden pyrite chunk (crafted with one gold nugget and 2 pyrite nuggets). The golden pyrite chunk gives you a platinum sword that is as good as a netherite sword and makes you look like a pirate (except for the face) and the captain rule does not apply. This allows you to trade with them like villagers (but you need a gold ingot instead to trade for the platinum sword and they won’t attack anymore). There will be ships that hold pure platinum block that can be used to craft a platinum sword (that needs a code to open) that can be traded from a pirate captain with gold.
