Desert Succulent Woodland

Inspired from real ecosystems from Socotra and Madagascar, this biome would consist of relatively low growing trees vegetation that are succulent in nature. Potential Features: Spiny trees - trees with thick trunks and “spines” in the branches. “Bottle Trees” - inspired by the desert rose, these trees would be very short with a few leaves and flowers on the top, with a very thick succulent stem. Thorns - dropped from leaves of the spiny trees, could be used to make some sort of defensive block for your base. Could be a block in itself, or the ability to attach them to existing fence blocks. Oil - Crafted from bottle tree seed pods, it can be used to apply to wood-based blocks to increase their blast resistance (but not completely make them explosion proof). Thought that this would add a pretty unique biome to Minecraft, as well as representing some regions of Earth that aren’t very represented in modern Minecraft.
