Clocks are really bad items in the game; their function is to track the passage of time in deep explorations, but nobody uses that. Maybe it's time to update their functions, for example: While the clock is in the player's inventory, it could make an alarm sound when it turns night/day. Or the player could click on an object that takes time, like a crop or a furnace cooking something, and then a ticking sound would play quickly, and when that selected object reaches its final state, the clock would go off (as long as it's in the player's inventory). There could also be a new block that, when powered, sends a signal to the connected clock (like the compass and magnetite), making it go off (the opposite version of the sculk sensor). Imagine the ideas we could have using a system that actually has real alarms
