I have a few issues with the way ore generates in 1.18. In my opinion no blocks should have reduced air exposure. What is the point of having these new awesome big caves if there aren't as many ores to find? It makes caving less fun, which shouldn't be the goal for an update called "Caves and Cliffs".
Secondly, I don't personally like how when blobs of ore generate, they now are sometimes not directly adjacent to each other, meaning I have to not only dig out all the blocks of ore I can see, but all the stone/deepslate/tuff adjacent to them in case there's any more diamonds/iron/etc. I understand this is to make things a bit more involved/take more brainpower, but to me it just makes mining less fun and more tedious.
Lastly (this is kind of less an issue with generation and more with a specific block), copper ore absolutely should not drop more than one raw copper item. This doesn't make any sense to me, as it's not how any other ore block that drops raw ore functions. I understand copper is supposed to be more common than iron and gold, but that should be achieved through how much copper generates in the world, not through the number of items it drops. It doesn't help that copper currently has few uses, making it incredibly easy to get lots of copper, but hard to actually use it (unless you love decorating with it).
