Sniffers giving us more than just 2 plants

I say that sniffers should sniff up more than just 2 different kinds of sprouts. They give you only 4 items in total: Torchflowers and Pitcher Plants, which cannot do anything but decorate. Here's an idea for a useful plant I think sniffers should be able to dig up:

It's like a medicinal crop. Like OH YEAH! TORCHFLOWER ROOTS! Yes! Torchflower Roots, not just torchflower seeds. They are like green onion - looking roots, and you can brew them in a brewing stand for a potion of Resistance, and it gives you resistance for 3 minutes, then if you extend it for 8, then resistance level 3 for 1 minute! 

So yeah, that's what I have in mind: Torchflower Roots for medicinal purposes/potions of resistance so you don't have to make golden apples!
