Expanding the Winter Drop: A Complete Cold Weather Ecosystem The upcoming Winter Game Drop is the perfect opportunity to bridge the gap between the new underground Ice Caves and the frozen surface above. By introducing a mix of atmospheric wildlife and structural overhauls, Mojang can transform snowy biomes into fully immersive environments. On the surface, the Arctic Owl could debut as a tamed companion that perches on your shoulder, hunting rabbits and granting players a localized Night Vision effect in the dark. Along the coastlines, the highly anticipated Penguin could finally arrive to guide players across frozen oceans and provide a helpful speed boost to boats traveling on ice sheets. To complement these new mobs, the addition of Ice, Snow, and Calcite Bricks would allow players to build frozen castles while giving existing structures like Igloos a beautifully updated look. Finally, the deep caverns could feature the Iceologer as a rare mini-boss. Defeating this Minecraft Dungeons wizard would reward players with the rare ingredients needed to craft the new Ice Balls and brew powerful Freezing Potions. Combining these surface features with deep-cave hazards would deliver a perfectly interconnected winter survival experience.

  Not so sure about the iceologer drop being the means of getting ice balls, because if the frostbitten have them then ice balls should be much easier to obtain. But for the rest of this YES!!!
  
  Said elsewhere, but this tower could be a great showcase for a whole new range of blocks: Ice Variants (Ice, Packed, Blue) of slabs and stairs, and giving Ice blocks the Quartz/Stone treatment of having bricks, pillars, chiselled, smooth, etc. Maybe even that perma-ice idea.
