I'm a personality that finds preservation of art important. You technically do this to an extent, but preserving the individual versions is not the same as preserving the thesis of the art. Which, you do not do.
Minecraft is about creativity first, everything else is secondary. Creative mode was included when the thesis had been corrupted due to many different factors, and that is not genuine preservation of the thesis either. It is technically preservation of the alpha builds, of when the core construct was defined.
The main issue is the semantics of the hunger bar even being defined. I don't technically think this is a problem, but the fact that there is not a gamemode that fits in between creative and survival where the healing factor of foods from the beta builds returns is extremely detrimental to the entire project.
There is a great YouTube video that inadvertently talks about this issue as the personality talks about their datapack and why they designed it. There's a lot that datapack does right, although it technically does the inverse problem of not preserving modern survival. The video is "Minecraft punishes casual players. I made a datapack to fix it." made by Klei_Wright. I implore that you genuinely take a look at it, take a look at the datapack itself, and pick out the things that your business thinks would work. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out. Also no, I am not the personality whom made that datapack.
With Care, Nanama.
