Way too difficult

I got to the final battle and could progress at all. The game kept giving me milestones for throwing myself at it enough times and the mobs kept getting harder. I left to go fight “normal” enemies in other areas thinking that might be the problem. Even normal mobs are too difficult. I’ve sold everything I have, I don’t have enough emeralds to upgrade the only items I kept and my power level is still “very low.” I started offline not realizing I couldn’t change it, so I can’t call for help. I changed the difficulty to the easiest setting and I still can’t defeat normal enemies. I’m so at a loss. The game doesn’t explain anything very well. What triggers milestones? If some weapon types are useless, why are they options? Online forums aren’t any help either. I truly regret purchasing.

    I also finally found the difficulty setting and lowered it to easy — it helped for maybe 20 minutes and then it was back to the same issue where mobs are so numerous, fast, and strong that I can never keep pace.

    I’m done. This game is awful and only makes me angry, which is the opposite of why I play.
