Currently, the Freezing mechanic functions as a simple status effect rather than a physical environmental law. This creates a few logical inconsistencies and misses out on great gameplay potential.
Here are the proposed changes to make Freezing parallel to Burning:
• Logical Consistency: Drinking milk shouldn't instantly cure freezing, just like it doesn't stop burning. Freezing should be a physical state.
• Ice and Fire Countering: Introduce a natural counter system where fire thaws ice, and ice/freezing can extinguish fire.
• New Enchantments: To match "Fire Aspect" and "Flame," we should have a weapon enchantment like "Frost Aspect" or a bow equivalent, rather than relying solely on clunky freeze potions and tipped arrows.
Making Freezing a core physical mechanic would greatly enhance the survival immersion and elemental gameplay of Minecraft. What do you all think?
