The Aether should add a huge sky dimension with floating islands, new biomes, mobs, blocks, structures, dungeons, bosses, resources, music, and unique exploration mechanics. It should feel like a major expansion, which is why it makes sense as DLC: it can contain a large amount of optional content without changing the core Minecraft experience for players who want vanilla Minecraft.
The Sift should also be DLC. Since The Sift is being introduced to Minecraft through Dungeons II and announced for Java and Bedrock in 2027, it could become a major standalone dimension with its own biomes, creatures, structures, hazards, resources, dungeons, and progression. Making it DLC would give Mojang room to make The Sift a substantial expansion while keeping the base game focused.
Both DLCs should be completely optional: players who do not buy them still get the full normal Minecraft experience, while owners receive massive new adventures that feel like genuine expansions rather than small updates.
