With the Sift becoming Minecraft's new dimension, I'd love to see the dimensions become more interconnected instead of requiring players to return to the Overworld between every trip.
A simple default portal order could be:
Overworld → Nether → Sift → End → Overworld
This would let players travel through dimensions naturally without making the Overworld a mandatory hub.
There could also be a new Portal Router block that lets players choose a portal's destination manually. Players could select the Overworld, Nether, Sift, or End, or optionally link two specific portals together across dimensions.
This would make the dimensions feel like actual separate worlds rather than places you temporarily visit for resources.
The Nether already demonstrates that a dimension can be livable: it has wood, food, gold, renewable resources, and multiple unique biomes. If the Sift receives similar resources, players could build permanent civilizations there too.
Imagine having an Overworld city, a Nether base, a Sift civilization, and an End settlement—all connected by a custom portal network.
I'd love for Minecraft's dimensions to feel like four interconnected worlds, rather than everything revolving around returning to the Overworld.
