I think players should be able to create their own faces when carving pumpkins with shears.
Instead of having only the default carved pumpkin face, players could open a simple carving interface when using shears on a pumpkin. The interface would show the front of the pumpkin as a small pixel grid, allowing the player to choose which pixels are carved and which remain untouched.
The player could create their own expressions, such as happy, angry, sad, surprised, scary faces, or completely original designs. This would make pumpkins much more useful for decoration and would give players more creative freedom when building Halloween decorations, houses, farms, villages, or custom maps.
The system could keep the existing carved pumpkin mechanics. A custom-carved pumpkin would still work as a normal carved pumpkin, including being wearable and being used to summon an Iron Golem or Snow Golem. Only its appearance would change.
To keep the feature simple and balanced, the carving could use a limited pixel grid and only affect the front face of the pumpkin. Players could also reset the pumpkin to the normal face by using shears again.
This would give pumpkins a similar level of customization to banners, signs, and other decorative blocks, while still keeping the classic Minecraft pumpkin design.
I think this would be a small addition with a lot of creative potential, especially for players who enjoy building and decorating.
