When maxed out players explore worlds and dimension they seem to conquer the world to easily. Curses are a great way to punish them for dominating the overworld/dimensons. Let’s say a player with netherite gear and loots a desert temple, they could maybe face a consequence of Tomb Rot, making them slower and health regenerates at a slower rate. (And to punish these players even more curses would require a very specific items that can’t be massed farmed to be lifted.) Let’s say a player kills an elder guardian, they get the Elders Curse of The Eye, making the player swim slower and if they spend long enough in the water can obtain mining fatigue. Let’s say a player decides to kill innocent mobs (not livestock in the overworld, more like random creatures.) they can earn a curse called The Curse of Dullness, making swings slower and damage lower. Looting a forest temple could get you a curse of The Bogged, making all skeletons nearby transformed as a bogged.
