Alexandrite : Sift's new cyrstal and diamond upgrade

I am suggesting that, in the upcoming Sift dimension, a new crystal called "Alexandrite" is added as a rare ore found deep in the ground. Similar to their real counterparts, Alexandrite would appear as a colorful crystal, a nothing seen before look on tools and trims. The crystal would appear inside of Alexandrite Geode "ore blocks", which would require to be cracked open in an anvil to harvest Alexandrite Shards. These could the be used along a smithing template to upgrade diamond armor and tools, similar to Netherite. It could prioritize a different buff to a player rather than Netherite's knockback reduction, maybe related to enchantments but im not sure. This would not only give a purpose to mining deep in the Sift, but also give the player an alternative upgrade than Netherite. Additionally, it could be used for fireworks, or even an Alexandrite sheild which could deflect projectile and cause more knockback on block at the cost of being incompatible with Unbreaking, and only being craftable using wood from the Sift dimension.
