I have been playing Minecraft since 2013, and whether you hate the idea of an end update or you really want one, everyone needs to acknowledge the fact that it's too empty. Sure, the end is supposed to be a barren wasteland. But it is not supposed to be so barren that there is almost no reason to go there other than grabbing a couple elytra and shulker boxes. It needs to be updated, but I still think it should feel like a wasteland.
I would love something similar to what you guys did with the 1.16 nether update, back in 2020. I would want to add to the barren vibe, not completely change it. We need more wasteland-like void biomes, and we need more ruined structures and hostile mobs.
Another huge issue is the dragon fight. It is just very out dated, and the center island where players are supposed to have the epic dragon fight just doesn't feel the same when compared to the rest of the game.
The reason for this is that the end of the game needs a true, final adventure for whoever ventures there. Right now, I can't say that there is any real sense of adventure. This has upset me for many years, and I know it has upset others too. If this is the last request I ever make for the game, let it be this: make the End truly feel like the definitive conclusion that it was meant to be, and give those of us who have been here since the beginning one last unforgettable adventure to embark on.
Thank you Mojang, for all of the memories your game has given me and countless others.
