Fishing station / Replace barrel, Villager workstation

It would be cool if there was a fishing station in Minecraft. Where you could upgrade your fishing rod with modular parts like a hook, a line and a sinker that would each do different things, it would also be nice if it would replace the barrel as a villager workstation in villages because I don’t think it makes any sense right now and it limits building with barrels in villages.
