The Wendigo

The Wendigo is a hostile mob that inhabits ice caves, and its appearance resembles that of the Warden. The Wendigo possesses the ability to freeze players and other mobs and deals high damage; it also has a substantial amount of health, making it a troublesome mob—albeit in a different way than the Frostbite. Rather than a standard freezing effect, this ability physically freezes the attacking player or mob—rendering them unable to move—for a short time; if the player themselves becomes frozen, they too are left unable to move. However, the Wendigo has a weakness to fire; setting up a campfire can prevent it from approaching, and attacks involving fire—such as those using flint—will cause it to take double the usual amount of damage.

  This is a very interesting idea! I think it having an appearance that resembles that of the Warden would be a missed opportunity to give it its own custom texture and model though.

  The Wendigo is a freezing monster with the antlers and head of a deer.
  However, since there are no deer in Minecraft, I used the Warden as a substitute; one reason was that the Warden's ear-like sensory organs seemed like a perfect model for the Wendigo's antlers, and since the Wendigo embodies the terror of the cold, it felt appropriate to evoke the kind of eeriness the Warden projects.
