The jungle has nothing in there that I feel is worth going there for. if anything. if I see a jungle, I turn the other way because I know I'm not getting anything useful from there. that's just too much missed potential. So, here's an idea that could help find that missed potential!
New mob:
I think the jungle needs something living in the trees. I think we could have a mob called a "Tiki" I know we could use villagers, but honestly, they just don't fit.(and raids wont work properly) the jungle should feel like a defensive kind of biome, not hostile. And these "Tikis" could hit you with poison arrows if they feel provoked.
New mob mechanic:
I think a new mechanic called "trust" could be built into them. So, to build this trust. you could give offerings like food. and once you build enough trust. you could approach them safely and start getting things back, like the bartering system. and there could be chest loot, but like piglins, they hate thiefs. but with a fully maxed out trust meter. you can take whatever you want without them getting mad. I'd like the think they look like those coconut dudes from "moana". now how would you visualize this trust? well at the center of one of these "treetop villages" would be a tiki totem pole. and maybe a flame will light up, or some effect will happen indicating if you have a lot of trust; or "distrust" where they will attack you no matter what.
These are just some ideas I think that could really help the jungle be more exciting.
