After finishing playing a bit with the new Preview, I've noticed some things that could possibly be tweaked and/or added to make exploring the caves a bit more enjoyable, or even incentivize players to search for one in the first place.
1. Icicles should glow!
This would work similarly to the Ice Crystals, as the caves themselves have low natural lighting outside of them, a small glow of around Light Level 2 or 3 to give a bit more of a "refraction" effect to the caves would be helpful!
2. Increase the amount of Calcite!
Calcite only spawns in one biome so far, the Stony Peaks, and seeing it in Ice Caves is huge, as a giant Calcite builder, however, I do feel like the clusters are too small... And this brings me to my next point:
3. Decorative Variants of Snow, Ice, and Calcite!
One big aspect of Minecraft is the building, and Calcite, for a block introduced in 2020, has no variants unlike others like Tuff or Copper. Maybe this could be the update to add them, as well as, for example, Ice Bricks and such!
4. A new food source!
A possible incentive to visit the Ice Caves could be a sort of snowy variant of the Glow Berries!
5. NERF FREEZING!!!
The Freezing effect as it currently is in the preview is basically guaranteed slow death, so the damage or duration could be tweaked down a little.
