The Melter / Recycler

I propose adding a new utility block to Minecraft: The Recycler (or Melter).

While players end up with tons of unwanted, damaged, or unneeded iron/gold tools, armor, and items (like iron buckets, shears, or chainmail), there is currently no efficient way to reclaim the metals.

• How it Works:

  • Similar to how a furnace melts ores, players can place unwanted metal items (e.g., an iron bucket, iron sword, or armor pieces) inside this block using fuel (like coal or lava).

  • After the smelting process completes, it breaks the item down and returns the raw ingots (e.g., putting an iron bucket in gives back 3 iron ingots).

• Crafting Recipe (Suggestion):

  • Can be crafted using a Blast Furnace surrounded by copper blocks, symbolizing an industrial recycling unit.

This block would be an amazing quality-of-life addition for survival players, making inventory management much more rewarding and eco-friendly in Minecraft!
