I think "Frostbitten" might be a better name (fits with Drowned and Parched), though I do like the name overall as it has to do with frost (ice) and biting (zombies). I confuse "frostbite" with the freezing effect

They could have a chance to spawn with frost-walker boots

Stray should be able to walk on powder snow like Frostbites can. They should also be able to pathfind on it, treating it like a block they can hop onto

I like the name change but I think the texture could be more interesting.
The Drowned has a way more distinct design then the Husk and regular zombie and is way cooler for it. The skeleton variants also all have unique articles of clothing which makes their variants more visually interesting.

I think just being around them should make you freeze like your in powdered snow.

    • Felt like I ran into the frostbite while exploring caves just about as I would expect. Felt natural!
    • The Frostbites definitely made the ice caves feel more dangerous and exciting to explore, it really adds to the effect and atmosphere of the caves, and it is fun to have an ice-themed attack to consider.
    • The ranged ice balls seems a little off, especially when there are Strays with ranged attacks in the biome as well, but it isn't necessarily bad.
    • Yes the Frostbites work well alongside the other hostile mobs you encounter in the ice caves.

I think perhaps instead of having the Frostbite hit you to apply the freezing effect it should be an AoE within a specific distance of them. This would also force instances where the player is required to attack from further away allowing one (if equipped with the ice ball) to use it.

The chances of them having an Ice Ball should be higher in the "Ice Caves", while keeping them steady in normal surface biomes. Ice Ball is unique and adds a really cool encounter when exploring the new cave biome!

I think that they should produce an ice cracking sound when they walk, I think it adds ways players can use their creativity to make soothing soundtracks to their bases

They look amazing! Happy to see another Dungeons mob return. My only suggestion for it is changing it's name to the "Frozen", which feels more in line with the Drowned.

The Frostbite should be able to be encountered in Trial Chambers with its own spawner and everything. The new potion could also be added to the pool of effects Ominous Trials can place on you.

I actually like the name "Frozen" better and this mob is already saved as a "Frozen" in my head. It's a clean and understandable name, and it also makes it better if you think about the name of the Drowned. "Frostbite" kinda sounds too cool for it, if you understand what I mean

Frostbite + Stray + *New* Frozen Polar Bear = Frozen Polar Bear Jockey!

Frostbite + *New* Frozen Polar Bear = Frostbite Jockey!

The Frozen Polar Bear is a new undead cold mob unique to snowy biomes. They only spawn in jockeys and are hostile toward the player. They attack slower than Polar Bears but can pack a frosty punch, inflicting the freeze affect so don't get hit! If a Polar Bear finds itself in powdered snow, it can be transformed into a Frozen Polar Bear. They burn in the daylight and can drop Rotten Flesh and Salmon.

Is it getting even colder in here or is it just me? Maybe its a coolest trio the snowy tundra night has ever seen! The Frostbite Jockey is a New Frozen Polar Bear ridden by the New Frostbite mob and a Stray tagging in. Each mob bringing their own icy impact to the fight. Upon unique encounters, the Frostbite will also be able to throw iceballs or rely on a stone spear. Gear up, get warm and challenge your nearest snow biome soon!

I really love what they add to the Ice Caves! You guys did amazing work this time. I think it would be neat if they spawned with Leather Armor more often, and maybe very rarely spawns with Carved Pumpkins on their heads.

This is a simple one not really that in the way of gameplay, but I think it would be fun if the baby Frostbite was referred to as the “Frostbit”. A friend of mine suggested that name and I found it amusing (granted, baby mobs don’t have names usually in gameplay, just in general)

(also just to add, the Caves are genuinely great and the Frostbite itself is quite cool, pun intended. No notes atm)

"Frostbitten" I believe would be more consistent with undead naming patterns

I like the new freezing effect, super cool idea! Also very cool that some leather prevents the effects. I like the fact that there is a new ranged mob! I do however think that there could be more creativity with the form that this mob takes. This is now the 5th? variant, and I think a new name, mob model and backstory would be better here. The iceologer could work perfectly! This means you could also put a new structure in the ice caves (maybe a small wooden hut with a campfire?)

we need a way to craft or farm Ice Balls, obtaing only for killing Frostbites is very hard and tedious.

    maybe:

    1 packed ice = 9 ice balls

    1 blue ice = 9 ice balls

    1 ice block = 1 iceball

just like copper / iron / gold nuggets

in the future the players will ask for this for years like when the players was asking for craftable nametags and saddles, you can solve this just addint this functionality with the drop release.

The name should be changed to the "Chilled" to fit with all other variants of mobs being one syllable, it's quite strange this is the only one that consists of two.

    Frostbitten jockey?

It’s good as is mechanically! A new jockey would be cool certainly, but I think focus should be on iceologers instead of a zombie polar bear, unless Mojang were to do both. Frostbitten would be a better name for it.

I also think frostbite should be named the chilled to go with the the theme of -ed after on zombie or skeleton variant.

I also think that they should add the moose like the camel and make a moose frostbite. Or a reindeer.

I think the Frostbite could be even more interesting if it had a rare variant found deep inside Ice Caves! This stronger version could have a unique appearance, new ice-based abilities, and a special drop. It would make exploring deeper areas more dangerous and rewarding. I also think frozen mobs trapped inside ice formations would be a great addition, making the caves feel ancient and mysterious. These features could give players more reasons to explore beyond simply finding ores and would make Ice Caves feel like a unique environment with secrets to discover.

Their spawn rates in other snow biomes and ice caves are way to low. Why is their spawn chance in the snowy plains the same as the endermans.
