Thank you so much for working on fixes for Linux. It was very frustrating to finally install it only to see it not even launch. I'm very happy Linux is still being taken into consideration.

Thank you for acknowledging the issues. It has been very frustrating to see all my friends enjoying the game while I can't even log in. Hopefully you can reach out to Valve and work together on giving us a solution soon!

Really appreciate it. Linux and Deck support is where I decide whether to buy a game or don't.

Keep us updated, please! My only form of gaming as of now is Steam Deck and I HATE having to try doing backdoor nonsense.

wtf was microsoft/mojang even thinking intentionally breaking the game on linux after dungeons 1, legends, and the main game work fine on linux? gdk isnt an excuse either cause consoles dont exactly run windows either, and plus again, the old games worked fine so microslop had no reason to break it.

I don't think it was intentional, people on Windows are having lots of issues as well. It's just a disaster of a launch all around. Just hope they get the biggest problems fixed soon.

What will happen to the pre-order and the hero cape since the issue may last past the date it will be available for Steam Deck users?

The cutoff for the hero cape is 3 months away, I'm sure it'll be fine.

This should have been something done on launch. I think the only way to get any positive feedback on this game would be pushing this through ASAP. Every day that passes more users refund and leave negative feedback.

    Hi,
I would like to ask if there are any plans to add native SteamOS / Linux support directly for the official Minecraft Launcher (the version purchased via the official Minecraft website), and not just for the Steam version?
Right now, many of us who bought the game through the official launcher cannot play it on SteamOS due to the Microsoft Gaming Services dependencies. Will the upcoming compatibility update cover the Minecraft Launcher version as well, or will it be exclusive to Steam?
    Thank you!

I linked my Microsoft account on my PC, so I don't have any problems on the Steam Deck—the connection works.
