Curse of Weightfulness is a curse that functions differently depending on whether its applied to a weapon, tool or armour. It can be found through similar methods to the pre-existing Curse of Binding and Curse of Vanishing. Items found with Curse of Weightfulness may have positive enchantments that are better than normally found, for a potential case of "risk vs reward".
- When applied to a weapon, Curse of Weightfulness will decrease the Attack Speed of that weapon by a small amount (say, 10% for example), this will mean that weapons with this curse will attack slower overall, though, with the better positive enchantments, it's up to the player what they choose to sacrifice.
- When applied to a tool, Curse of Weightfulness applies the Attack Speed decrease like weapons, though tools will also break blocks slower than normal tools. Curse of Weightfulness will be incompatible with Efficiency in this case.
-
When applied to armour, Curse of Weightfulness will make the player move slower, akin to the Slowness effect.
The player will move more slower with each armour equipped with the curse.
The player will be unable to swim in any fluids with any armour with Curse of Weightfulness equipped.
Fall damage and falling speed are increased by the number of armour pieces equipped with the curse, any boots with the curse are incompatible with Feather Falling.
Jump height could also be decreased with the armour pieces equipped, and could be mitigated by applying the Jump Boost effect.
