For me, missing WASD controls is such a dealbreaker that I probably won't play the game.
Please add WASD controls...you'll get a ton of new players!

absolutely amazing idea, with the point and click it feels off and sometimes just doesn't feel responsive plus i've seen people make scripts and stuff to make WASD work in the original, it's not an impossible idea and i feel it wouldn't be hard to implement in such a game

I agree with you. The absence of WASD controls stopped me from buying the game.

I'm ok with mouse pointer if there was a toggle for wasd, but obviously its not here. It just feels weird that theres no support for wasd the game looks and feels like it would work perfectly fine with it wasd.

A screenshot of a dev build from a while back literally had a "WASD_toggle" setting. Also, people are now figuring out WASD actually does exist in the game but it's hidden behind a feature flag that's disabled by default. The game overall has some very weird design choices over the first game. I don't wanna go as far to say it's a flop so soon, but in all honesty I have no desire to play it anymore.

They exist internally as a dev tool allegedly, but they disabled it on release. Truly, one of the decisions of all time.

Its not just WASD, there's practically no controller support either and no settings to change anything. I bought Dungeons 2 through the Minecraft Launcher rather than Steam, so none of my controllers work for this game. Nintendo Switch USB controller doesn't work, and my brother's X-Box controller doesn't work either. This game forces me to use the worst possible control scheme.

It was such a baffling choice for the first game, I don't understand why a joystick on a controller works for movement but WASD doesn't.

I exclusively played Dungeons 1 on a controller since being limited to mouse seriously hurts reaction time and is overall a pain compared to moving with WASD or a controller.

I can't imagine why this hasn't been implemented yet beyond stubbornness.

I agree. Even if Mojang won't make it the default, they can at least let us set the key bindings!

I tried last night and this morning and I just can't. After minecraft dungeons 1, it was obvious that WASD movement was something that players wanted and the choice not to implement it was intentional. They had it available in early builds of the game and decided to remove it as an option.  If I had to guess, its part of a marketing strategy to sell more controllers. I just don't think buying a 60 dollar controller to play a 30 dollar game is a reasonable ask and they try to force it on you by making the keyboard and mouse controls ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE!!!!!! on controller, people can run backwards and shoot at the enemy, AT THE SAME TIME, but not on keyboard and mouse because my aim and movement are both tied to the left mouse key. They claim they did this to stick with the tradition of other isometric action rpgs, but of course they said that, I would say that too if I knew what I was doing was a shady marketing scheme to sell controllers. If they did it to be like other isometric action rpgs... then could they also give us the option to enable wasd like other isometric action rpgs.  Either way, I tried to play it regardless, and I might return if they add wasd, but I might not. Just imagine coding a game and adding wasd controls in the early build because your testers were frustatred with the controls just to remove it for your actual fans so you can sell them controllers.

Struggling to fight cuz auto combat movement is weird as heck. I try to attack one guy, and it targets the guy next to it by like 2 degrees, so the creeper blows up instead of being two shot or three shot. This has caused multiple deaths. Not to mention the thing will bug out on SOME interactables and just travel tons of blocks away towards a nothing area where there isnt anything connected to said interactable (found in case of a button in a dungeon near brave haven)
