Jerboas

Minecraft adds jerboas into minecraft. Not every specie but similar to tropical fish they come in different shapes and maybe colours. The shapes can be the 5 different catagories of jerboas. They should spawn in desert/hot biomes. It could be a small thing in a drop and maybe they could drop items like meat or fur. In which fur can be used for fur armour that prevents coldness affects and gives you stat boosts in cold biomes, stat nerfs in hot biomes. It would be around as strong as chainmail/iron. Maybe even something to do with there ears when holding it out you can hear further?
Also a jerboa cape would be sick. The elytra could bve its ears
