When is the tropical biome update coming?

Version 26.4 is confirmed to include the Ice Cave, and a new dimension called "The Sift" has been confirmed for addition in 2027. However, I think it's high time Mojang updated the tropical biome. The three biomes that lost in past biome votes—Desert, Savanna, and Badlands—have still not been implemented (the only biome to be implemented after losing a vote was the Swamp, and the only mob to be implemented after losing a vote was the Copper Golem). It is likely that Mojang has either long since forgotten about it or has a policy of intentionally not implementing it. If they are ignoring it intentionally, then the tropical biome remains exactly as it is—with the savanna seeing only the addition of armadillos, and the desert changing little beyond the addition of a hidden room (containing suspicious sand) to the desert temple. If that is the case, it means the tropical biome update will never happen, and perhaps all the features originally mentioned during the biome vote have been scrapped.
