"Crouch Lock" would be a control setting allowing the player to remain crouched after pressing Shift just once. When playing Minecraft, I often face frustrating moments caused by accidentally losing contact with the Shift key—for instance, while bridging in the End, if my finger slips off the key, the player falls into the void. With Crouch Lock enabled in the settings, pressing Shift once would keep the player crouched; pressing it again would make them stand up, similar to the crouching mechanic in Bedrock (mobile). This option would work with both controllers and keyboards and would be supported on both Java and Bedrock editions.
