The Rift Summoner would be an item introduced in the Sift Dimension update. It would function as a placeable block—indestructible in Overworld and Sift—and could only be found within the Sift dimension itself. Found in chests, it would be recharged using an item unique to the new dimension, with a capacity of up to 64 charges (allowing for 64 uses). Once fully depleted, the Rift closes and requires recharging. The Rift Summoner would facilitate travel between the Overworld and the new dimension, bypassing the need for a conventional portal. When placed on the ground, a Rift would open above it, occupying a 5x3 area; the player could position this Rift wherever they chose. The block's interface would allow players to select which Sift Rift Summoner connects to the Overworld Rift Summoner, acting much like a waypoint system. The Rift Summoner could not be used to travel between different points within the same dimension—only to the Sift dimension. Attempting to use the item in the End or the Nether would result in its destruction, rendering it unusable. Players could duplicate the Rift Summoner by surrounding it with 8 pieces of Ancient Debris, making it easier to acquire for those further along in the game's progression. As for the unique item used to recharge the Rift Summoner, it would be called "Musical Essence." This item would be obtained by using a bucket on the liquid found in the new dimension; placing it into the Rift Summoner would store the necessary energy.
