Make bedrock better

we NEED to be able to put anything in our offhand slot in bedrock edition. I can't imagine that it would be hard to add to bedrock. It would help with some problems we have for example fixing a pickaxe that has mending, instead of switching to the pickaxe after killing the mobs with my sword I can just put the pickaxe in my offhand and let it gain durability without having to switch. I don't really have any other things except for we can use the offhand for torch's or lanterns so we can see in caves with "dynamic" lighting or whatever it's called (sorry I'm a kid) BUT PLEASEE WE NEED IT
