One thing that's (metaphorically) bugged me in the game is that the debug screen contains valuable features in the game whilst also having features that seem like they can be a bit "cheaty": knowing your coordinates, your biome, your light level; on a "less fair" level, the profiler graph (the pie chart) can let people deduce where structures are without "in-game gameplay".
Removing pre-existing features is a difficult thing to do well, so instead I would like to suggest adding features to substitute for some of the useful F3 features. This way, an option can also be given to players to hide some of the information on the debug screen from players (similar to a gamerules, or comparable to the "enable cheats" option); in particular, servers or realms could then disable the debug screen, or at least parts of the debug screen.
What might these features look like? We've actually already seen things of this sort! For example, maps on Legacy Console Edition show coordinates, so there was an "in-game way" to find coordinates; another recent analogous feature was the spyglass, which is an "in-game zoom feature".
I won't suggest any specific items or gameplay mechanics which could be used to substitute F3 features here, mainly because I don't think I have any good solutions! But I hope that this post points out a "problem" in the gameplay of Minecraft, whereby the debug screen is being used more like a feature of the game rather than what the name suggests - a debug screen for debugging.
