The Pale Wilds would be a new End biome filled with dark End stone, strange vegetation, and Voidflame.
Voidflame is a new type of fire that can only burn on End-related blocks. It is black with pale white flames and gives off only a small amount of pale white light. Stepping into Voidflame damages the player, but also gives them a new effect called Pale Sight for a short duration.
Pale Sight causes Voidflame to appear much brighter and produce significantly more light. This means that while the biome initially appears very dark, entering the Voidflame can temporarily illuminate the surrounding area and reveal more of the biome.
The Pale Wilds could also contain plants that are black or very dark, with pale white sections. These plants would not actually produce light, but their white parts could appear brighter while the player has Pale Sight. This would make the biome feel more alive while keeping its eerie black-and-white appearance.
Pale Sight could also be brewed into a potion. The potion would last longer than the effect gained from stepping into Voidflame and would allow players to explore the biome without having to repeatedly walk through the fire.
The biome should also introduce at least one new mob that fits its theme of darkness and pale white light, giving the Pale Wilds its own ecosystem rather than making it simply another variation of the End’s existing terrain.
The goal would be to create an End biome that feels mysterious and alive while having a visual identity very different from both the Overworld and Nether.
