There’s a significant lack of cool-toned wood types in Minecraft. The only two we have are Pale wood and maybe Warped, but even Warped wood is a little warm toned for being a blue/green wood type.
Additionally, purple is a favorite color for many, and yet there’s not that much purple in the game beyond the Nether portal color and Crying Obsidian’s tears. And Crimson wood definitely leans much closer to red than purple.
To fix both of these problems, I have three suggestions, any one of which I’d be elated to see in the game.
Two suggestions for Overworld trees: Wisteria and Purple Heart trees.
Both these trees exist in real life. Wisteria trees are technically woody vines trained to grow like trees. They have beautiful purple flowers hanging from their branches.
The Purple Heart tree is also a real tree. They can get pretty tall. Their bark tend to be on the whiter side, but underneath the wood is a warm purple color. I figure some creative liberties could be taken for a cooler toned purple wood.
Final suggestion: While I’d be happy with either of the above, I also wouldn’t mind a purple wood type added to the end. If an End update were to ever happen, a dark, slightly desaturated purple wood type would fit very nicely into the End, mirroring the shade of the chorus fruit and stem.
Those are all my suggestions. All I want is a cool purple wood in the game. And more cool-toned wood types of any color.
