I Think New Dimension Minerals Should Be for Trims/Platings, Not Armor

The official team recently announced a new dimension called The Sift, and some players in the community have suggested adding a new armor material similar to copper armor. However, I think that if a new mineral is added, the official team could consider giving it new uses rather than simply making it into armor. Also, adding armor stronger than Netherite in a dimension with this kind of positioning feels unwise to me, because Netherite is designed as an extension of diamond gear — it requires diamonds as a prerequisite, and it has high acquisition cost and risk. If a new dimension can produce stronger armor, it would undermine the existing value of both Netherite and diamonds. I think this mineral could be used like amethyst — to apply armor trims. Or it could be more functional, like resin and copper, used to plate armor and increase its durability to some extent. This would help with the situation where armor, even with Mending, can still break in real PvP and combat because there isn't enough time to repair it. It would also give players a reason to enter the new dimension with a purpose.
