While villages are an iconic part of Minecraft, the Overworld currently lacks large-scale civilized settlements. We propose introducing a dedicated City Biome—a sprawling urban environment packed with concrete and stone structures, organized infrastructure, and active street life.
Key Features:
• Dense Urban Generation: Instead of small 8–9 house settlements, this biome generates extensive, interconnected multi-story concrete/stone buildings, paved roads, alleys, and bridges.
• Transportation & Infrastructure: Functional horse-drawn carriages (wagons) alongside stables, allowing players and mobs to transport goods across the city.
• Street Markets & Dynamic Economy: Paved pedestrian footpaths lined with vendor stalls selling and buying goods (fish, vegetables, seeds, and local commodities) at competitive emerald rates, alongside distinct villager variations (including female villager models).
• Law Enforcement & High Stakes: A centralized hierarchy featuring a King/Ruler structure with significantly stricter security. Committing theft or harming citizens immediately triggers city guards and aggressive Iron Golems to hunt down the player, introducing genuine thrill and combat consequences.
We realize this is a massive scope for an update, but as the developers behind Minecraft's evolving world generation, this is the caliber of civilization the community expects to see on the surface.
