Illager Evolution – A Living Illager Network
Illagers should feel like a real faction that grows, expands and interacts with the world.
Pillager Outposts could have development levels. They could start as small towers and gradually become fortified bases with walls, gates, barracks, watchtowers, prisons, storage buildings and larger defenses. Higher-level Outposts would have more organized Illager forces.
Larger Outposts could build roads connecting them to other Outposts and Illager structures. Patrols and supply groups could travel along these roads, making Illager territory visible in the world.
The Woodland Mansion could become the center of the Illager network. If enough Outposts become powerful, the Mansion could develop into a much larger and heavily fortified Illager stronghold.
Several connected Outposts could create larger Illager territories, recognizable by roads, watchtowers, camps, patrols and fortified structures.
This system could interact with Village Evolution. While villages form alliances, roads and regions, Illagers could build their own network and expand their influence. Villages and Illagers could therefore compete for territory, roads and important locations.
The goal is not simply to add more Pillagers, but to make the Illagers feel like a living faction with their own infrastructure, development and territory.
