Snow layers Into Ice Permafrost

Optional game setting that lets you toggle snow layers to stack infinity into snow blocks. when it stacks high enough it turns the lowest snow block into ice then packed ice. this could also be done by placing snow in a tower then when it melts it turns into ice. I know it's obscure but it would be fun especially if it could snow anywhere.
