Currently in Minecraft, physical appearance and skin tone strictly define a mob's morality: peaceful Villagers have traditional skin tones, while hostile Illagers are grey.
I propose making skin tone independent from alignment to teach that appearance does not determine values or behavior:
Diversity in both factions: Villagers and Illagers should be able to spawn with both skin tones (grey and traditional) regardless of whether they are in a Village, Mansion, or Outpost.
Peaceful Grey Villagers: Introduce peaceful grey-skinned Villagers (including baby Villagers) living and trading normally in villages.
Traditional Tone Illagers: Introduce Pillagers and Evokers with traditional skin tones belonging to hostile raiding parties.
This change would add visual variety, make world exploration more interesting, and send a positive anti-racism message: skin color doesn't make someone good or bad—their actions and choices do.
