Add a new native plant and a stealthy predator to the End that mimic each other, creating a risk-reward dynamic during exploration.
The End Fruit:
Grows mostly above ground on End Stone.
Poisonous when eaten raw, but safe and edible after cooking.
Can be placed on a Crafting Table to yield 4 fruit slices, which serve as seeds to farm the crop on End Stone. Also serves as a decorative block.
The Camouflaged Mollusk:
Lies buried in End Stone, perfectly mimicking the End Fruit to ambush players.
The Distinction: The disguised mollusk has a subtle visual tell—a few darker pixels forming a split line across its body, whereas the genuine fruit is solid.
Attack Behavior: When a player gets close, the "fruit" opens into a two-part mouth, exposing tentacles that lift its octopus-like body out of the ground.
It shoots its tongue (which previously looked like the fruit's stem) to latch onto the player, tethering them. While tethered, it drains health and applies the Weakness effect.
Counterplay: Players must back away until the tongue stretches beyond its max range and snaps off to break free.
