Frozen leaves & snowlogging for Java in the new winter drop

Being able to put snow on grass and other blocks(snowlogging) and white frozen leaves in snow forests have been Bedrock exclusive features for a long time now but don't exist on Java. The upcoming winter game drop would be the perfect opportunity to add that for Java edition too!

    I would actually prefer it if the leaves color were not changed to completely white. They could still have snow covering the leaf texture, I just don't want it to look like white leaves rather than leaves covered with snow

    If leaves are to be white in snowy biomes/during snowfall, then there must be a way to prevent it. For example player-placed leaves do not turn white on their own, the player has to use snowball to make them snowy - and player can use a shovel or brush to remove the snowy state from any leaves
