In short: make The Soft part of the game progression, and not like a side quest. As far as I know, all of the recent updates to Minecraft are additions to the game, things that you can explore but are not required for beating the game, for example the Pale Garden or the Sniffer. We all understand that Minecraft is a sandbox, and everyone can explore and do whatever they want in the game, but still, it would be nice to have something new to actually progress to that is required for "completion".
