Such a terrible design! Bring back the logo on top, and the settings button in the middle. Ain't no way you are hard trying to monotize the game by making two marketplace buttons (Dressing room included). 0/10

pls keep minecraft logo and the player avatar is too big.

regarding ease of use, I miss the "view profile" button, but the rest seems intuitive, as for performance, I havent tested it yet, but the thing that bothers me most about the current interface is the panorama view "freezing" on transitions

Just an idea, but instead of having only those three buttons, There could be two more buttons dedicated to servers and realms, maybe something like “Last Realm” and “Last Server”, with a pop-up showing which ones they were. I would definitely use those buttons if they existed.

there is way too much monetization and the UI looks as empty as a desert

All of the decisions on how to update the ui were the wrong ones, starting with the very idea to change it.

    - The name of the game has been removed from the initial screen as if you were hiding in shame.
    - The settings menu, the second most important function within a game, has been reduced to nothingness.
    - Replacing the setting menu is not one, but two separate buttons directing you to spend money. The shop is more prioritized than the game. This was already pushing the envelope in the previous ui with how decorated the marketplace button is.
    - The realms button is gone, so the main multiplayer service is now hidden behind multiple menus.
    - All of the game information, such as credits and versioning, have been removed. I cannot tell when the program was updated against my will irreversibly, a situation i encouter frequently.
    - No function in a menu should be hidden behind a gesture instead of a button, this is an active hindrance to acessibility and information access.
    - The player character takes more space than anything else on-screen, despite being by far the least important element. It is also now separated from the dressing room button, losing their relationship
    - nothing is centered. The center of the screen is the only part you retain across multiple screen resolutions. Everything important and immediate should be centered
    - All the empty space showcases nothing, or worse, allows you to showcase things not of the game.

This is awful, and ignores previous feedback.

The New Main Menu is BAD and its because-

    • The Logo is missing
    • The Buttons positioning is bad and centering it would be way better
    • The buttons should be bigger like old button's size
    • The Settings button should remain with the play button
Instead, the marketplace button could have went over on top right
    • Player skin preview is too big
    • The Dressing room button should rather stay somewhere next to the player skin
    • Version number is missing too

The new design has too many flaws man, really disappointed how bad we could go

This layout will definitely cause issues on phones / smaller screens as the settings (and accessibility features!!!) are the smallest button on the screen, while microtransactions are the largest.

I’ve been playing Minecraft for more than 13 years now I really hope this is just a test and they will get rid of this going forward but the amount of pushing towards micro transactions worry’s me I hope they stop this going forward bring back the original settings button and so on but while the future of the game looks promising I don’t want Minecraft to become another hotbed for micro transactions and cross overs like Fortnite or Roblox I think it can be so much better than this and I hope they listen to what the community is saying about the Home Screen going forward

I'm not a fan at all of this new UI. It should be kept the same, and this current one scrapped. There are truly very few words for how bad this menu UI is.

The new menu looks like it was programed by a 3-year old. It is difficult to find the settings button. The player skin is too large. Why aren't the main buttons centered? And the freaking Minecraft logo is missing!

The settings button should be a priority, not the market place. I know bedrock edition is for a money grab but come on keep the settings button fully visible, not the market place button.

I'm one of the people who always defended Bedrock Edition, and OreUI specifically. I think it's really pretty and I love all of the new UI iterations that have shipped with the full release (settings, worlds and world creation).

With that being said, this version of the new menu is horrible, it needs to be completely redesigned from the ground up. It's clear it's being designed with nothing but monetization in mind, completely alienating the core audience of Minecraft, and catering instead to a small percentage, mostly console players that are FORCED to spend money on the game.

I love the quality the marketplace has been providing recently, and have been drawn to purchase from it quite a bit. But the heavy marketing simply makes the core game lose it's taste, while also making the marketplace itself feel cheap and repulsive. This is not the direction the game should be going, even if the UI is redesigned, to put marketplace maps front and center when you press play is not the way to keep the game alive long term. If it's still Mojang's goal to keep the game alive for a 100 years, the marketplace shouldn't be pushed this heavily. It's one of the reasons Fortnite's core audience left due to their heavy push of UGC and monetization in a very similar way, and the same will happen here. Money is not worth losing your closest fans.

This is not a good move for shareholders or investors. The redesign for extra ad space does not benefit the game, even in a revenue sense. Players already largely dislike its layout, and are flocking to the masses on a preview version of this menu solely because of the large disappointment. Do not squander your opportunity to continue to be one of the biggest games, and have players end up sitting in modded/older versions of the game or quitting entirely. The mindset and environment you invite to the VERY first screen the player sees is very important. It's supposed to be "MINECRAFT" the game, not monocraft. Respect the weight the name has, as silly as that is to say, its fair. Use that instead of trying to make ad space and lessening the user experience for a few extra dollars.

This change is just another peek under the curtain that you would rather make as much money from the Minecraft IP as possible, rather than create a fleshed out, easy to navigate, and authentically Minecraft experience.  Removing the large settings button and replacing it with not only one but TWO "buy here!" buttons? This is predatory to younger minds, who cannot exactly read, but still beg for the $20 add-on or skin pack.  If you had any decency, or care for the ACTUAL people who PLAY the game your life is centred around, revert the change, and revert the change in the pause screen.

    Just no,

Too much empty space that you are probably going to fill with ads.

The SETTINGS button is moved out of sight and replaced with 2 money hungry buttons.

You have a best-selling game, you already have so much profit, please don't ruin your amazing game because you are getting too greedy.

    Thanks for your consideration!

I don't think this needs any fancy explanation. The settings button should be in the main buttons. This is also the case for the pause menu while in game. Putting it as a small square is so annoying the amount of times I accidentally open the marketplace. Just for it to not even load properly and lag out my game is ridiculous. I also think moving the dress button from being underneath your character is just a bad design choice visually. So all around very disappointed by who ever is designing the ui. As the changes already have made the UI more annoying to navigate and less user friendly. Which is the whole point of a ui...

    I hate the new design.

First of all, from a designer standpoint it looks empty. A lot of space is unmanaged, the charachter is TOO big, and moving dressing room button away from the character sounds very counter intuitive to me.

Second of all, if I was looking for a settings menu, in main menu, I would look for it where the main buttons are. NOT on the top right. It was there always for a reason, it is clicked often, people are used to it being there. Innovation is good, I agree. And some UI/UX decisions sould be changed, but not when it is made for making more space for marketplace.

I do like the bottom part. it looks nice, and like a actually good place to put ads. it is not too invasive, and it is intuitive.

And where did the logo go? Personally, I love minecraft's logo. And I want to see it when I open the game. Sometimes I just sit, look at the logo, the spinning panorama, and listen to the menu music. Because it is a vibe. Minecraft has a specific vibe, and your job is not to kill it. Otherwise you will not have a job in a few years, and minecraft will become an unforgettable legend and an example of what not to do.

I really hope mojang will listen to it's community.

    Just.... No.

Honestly disappointed that you guys could even suggest this after the last time you tried changing the UI. ITS NOT GETTING BETTER! Just give up. Focus on more important things like the massive bugs in bedrock, and ACTUAL UPDATES. This is almost as bad as when Cracker Barrel tried rebranding a couple of months ago. Also, stop trying to push things like marketplace. We know its there. The settings button should always be right in the center with "Play" because its the only other NECESSARY PART of the game. Everything else is not as important. You must be forgetting that we are players of a game, and making it harder for us is never going to work for you.

    Do better Mojang.

I don't like the new home UI. I do think a newer UI with the updated Ore UI interface would be nice, but this UI is too empty.

I suggest having it structured the same or at least similar way the pause menu currently is, with logo, buttons, and other options in the left, with the right having the skin and maybe some announcements, images or something, or recommended servers, etc.

From what I've seen, Minecraft's menu is reminiscent of something like Fortnite or Roblox. It's like I log into Minecraft not for a single-player vanilla game, but to immediately get onto someone's servers or download/buy mods. I don't like it. If you're going to change the basic menu features of such a huge game, it should be really good, not just a parody of modern games-as-a-service.

A tiny settings button. No. Two buttons essentially leading to the place where you pay money. No. Please do NOT release this into the stable versions. No Minecraft logo is wrong, along with the lack of splash texts. Everything being offset just doesn’t look right, and a giant player character thing does not look good. Overall, I am very opposed to this new main menu design, and it could definitely be hugely better.

I feel like the new ui is missing the minecraft logo and please change the settings button back to what it was before the new ui. Other than that no complaints

They’ve changed something NOBODY was asking to change with a downgraded version of the opening screen. Most people do not WANT to use realms or the marketplace, and making them more busy will just annoy people and put a really bad taste in everyone’s mouths. Minecraft, you have the chance here to prove you’re not money-hungry gluttons by NOT rolling out an opening screen update. Please, please do so.

Where did the minecraft logo go? Wheres the settings? Why is it this strange half and half thing where half the screen is buttons and half is my skin. Keep the main buttons in the middle. Settings is easy to miss. Two monitization buttons instead of utility.

This new menu, and just Ore UI in general is one of the worst UI transitions I have ever seen. Not only is the Minecraft logo missing from the main screen, which has been a signature of the main menu for years now, but also there are two, TWO, monetizable buttons on the main menu. I paid $29.99 USD for this game, I do not want to see the marketplace in almost every menu I visit, the marketplace really needs to be more subtle. The dressing room button should be moved underneath the player again, as that's where it belongs. The settings button NEEDS to be one of the main buttons, as it is key to a player's experience with Minecraft. If I could make all the choices at Mojang, I would just stop Ore UI entirely and go back to JSON UI, this UI is actually ruining my experience with Minecraft Bedrock. I think the worst part of all of this is that fact that it will be immensely more difficult to customize the main menu using resource packs after this update. Please just revert back to JSON UI, I'm deeply dissatisfied with this new main menu and Ore UI as a whole.
