Generates on the surface within deserts.
Size
- Length and width: 10–30 blocks
- Depth: 5–15 blocks

Salt Block
Has gravity, similar to sand and gravel.
Suspicious Salt
An archaeological block. Using a brush on it can reveal a random item.
Salt Crystal
Can be mined with any tool or by hand to obtain 1–4 pieces of salt. Four pieces of salt can be crafted into one Salt Block.
Building Blocks
Salt Bricks
Crafted by placing 4 Salt Blocks in a 2×2 pattern.
Salt Brick Slab
Crafted by placing 3 Salt Bricks in a 1×3 pattern.
Salt Brick Wall
Crafted by placing 6 Salt Bricks in a 2×3 pattern.
Salt Brick Stairs
Crafted by placing 6 Salt Bricks in the appropriate stair pattern.
Chiseled Salt Block
Crafted by placing 2 Salt Brick Slabs vertically in a 2×1 pattern.
Features
When a Salt Block is placed on ice, the ice will eventually melt and the Salt Block will disappear.
When a Salt Block is placed in water, it will eventually dissolve and disappear.
Adding regular salt to a water-filled bucket creates Salt Water.
Placing a bucket of Salt Water in a furnace produces a Salt Crystal.
Salt Crystals can also be obtained by pouring Salt Water in the Nether.
