There should be chests that contain written hints, graphs, and illustrations that help newcomers with complex things. For example, you can find one with an illustration of a nether portal, one explaining Redstone, one explaining enchantments, etc... You have a 16% chance to find a chest containing a book per chunk. They would generate in caves around y level 37. To make these chests worth finding late game, there could be a 27% chance for the chests to spawn with 7-13 xp bottles too
